FASHION | Serena Williams Has A New Gig As Global Ambassador For Stuart Weitzman

Stuart Weitzman has proudly announced the appointment of Serena Willaims as its newest global spokesperson. The luxury shoe brand has kicked off the partnership with its latest campaign that sees the tennis pro as the embodiment of women as pillars of strength, hope and optimism for their communities. Photographer James Green captured Williams standing tall on a platform in a number of styles – the Aleena slide, the Nudist sanda, the Anny pump, and the Manila loafer – designed to lift the wearer up. ‘Now, more than ever, is a moment to focus on hope and moving forward’, says Williams. ‘I want women of every generations to be inspired to do so, on step at a time’. this campaign also forms part of Stuart Weitzman’s ongoing philanthropic partnership with Vital Voices Global Partnership, an international nonprofit dedicated to investing in women leaders who drive global change. The brand and Williams are focused on lifting up women of colour through the partnership, and selected Sage Ke’alohilani Quiamno, co-founder of Future For Us, and Ashlee Wisdom, founder of Health in Her HUE, each heroed for supporting vulnerable communities in the midst of Covid-19.
