ARTS & ENTERTAINMENT | Saudi Arabia’s First Post – Covid-19 Concert To Be A Star – Studded National Day Celebration

The first, post-coronavirus concerts will be held in Saudi Arabia towards the end of this month. Set to go ahead on the occasion of the Kingdom’s 90th National Day (September 23), the celebrations will take place across the cities of Riyadh and Jeddah and feature performances from 11 stars from across the Arab world.

The concerts will begin in Jeddah, on Tuesday, September 22 with a performance from Emirati singer Ahlam at the King Abdullah Sports City. Following the announcement of her performance, she took to social media to announce ‘I’m coving overt to, people of Jeddah’.

Other performers who will feature in the concerts include renowned Amr Diab, Rashed Al Majed, Aseel Abu Bakr, Majid Al Mohandes, Abadi Al Johar, Dalia Mubarak, and Rabih Saqer.

Saudi National Day, also known as Al-Yoom-ul-Watany, is celebrated each year on September 23.

This year’s celebrations, hosted by the Saudi General Entertainment Authority (GEA), will last over five days with performances at Jeddah’s King Abdullah Sport’s City. The capital of Riyadh will also hold performances at the King Fahd Cultural Centre.

The concerts have been organized following strict Covid-19 guidelines to assure the safety of all who are involved. There are a limited number of tickets available for each concert, with around 1,500 seats for the Riyadh shows. However, fans will also have the option to purchase tickets to watch a live stream of the concerts from home.

Tickets for Ahlam’s Jeddah concerts are on sale from Tuesday while tickets for other concerts will be made available later this week.
