Princess Charlotte Makes A Surprise Appearance At The Commonwealth Games

LONDON – The royal family is out in full force this week at the Commonwealth Games in Birmingham – and that includes the younger generation. Tuesday morning, Prince William and Kate Middleton’s daughter, Princess Charlotte made an unexpected appearance at the competition!

This marks the first time 7 – year – old Princess Charlotte has publicly attended a royal event without either of her siblings.

Her older brother, Prince George, has attended a few events solo with his parents over the years, including most recently at the Wimbledon men’s finals. Charlotte’s last public outing was during Queen Elizabeth Platinum Jubilee weekend, when she and her siblings were constantly together.

However, this was a special day out for the only Cambridge daughter. She styled her hair in two braids, and wore a striped dress with a white collar. Princess Charlotte seemed excited to be in the attendance, and animatedly reacted to the event, even giving her mom a run for her mone for the best sports reaction of all time.

Later on, she joined her parents to visit a SportsAid house. The Duchess of Cambridge has been patron of SportsAid for nearly a decade, and the charity supports young athletes.
