Princess Mary Of Denmark Epitomizes Royal Elegance For A Charity Event

Crown Princess Mary of Denmark appeared every inch the glamorous royal as she attended an event held in honour of UNICEF. The Danish princess arrived at the 60th anniversary of the UNICEF Supply Division in Copenhagen wearing a burgundy Alexander McQueen Blazer on top of a black ensemble. Known for her love of ultra-chic tailoring, the royal teamed the look with a non-nonsense ponytail and simple earrings.

After a guided tour of the site, the royal also helped pack boxes of school supplies for teachers and children in areas affected by disasters around the world. The princess later addressed the team, thanking them for their hard work in support of the initiative. The warehouse was initially built to supply essential kits for maternity clinics and child health services and has since evolved into a logistics hub, becoming the largest humanitarian warehouse in the world.

In her speech, she said: ‘For 60 years, UNICEF has – from its warehouse here in Copenhagen – shipped supplies in support of children affected by earthquakes, floods, disease, forced displacement, conflicts, and instability. […] Although the challenges are many and complex, UNICEF is there, providing supplies and hope for children and their families. And helping, for instance, to improve the rights of girls to share in equal opportunities and to participate equally in society‘.
