STYLE | Kate Middleton’s New Hairstyle Stole The Show At Princess Charlotte And Prince George’s School Drop Off

Through the attentions of royal admirers around the world were focused this week on four-year-old Princess Charlotte as she celebrated a rite of passage – attending her first day of school – it would be remiss to have loked past the Duchess of Cambridge as she unveiled a switch-up to her hair this week.

To coincide with the momentous occasion of her daughter’s first day of school, Middleton seized the day to debut lighter, warmer honey tones that marked an unusual departure  from her signature chestnut brown but that nevertheless seamlessly framed her tanned complexion, with her hair blown out in its unfussy-yet-put together style.

Pairing her’do with a long-sleeved midi length dress from Michael Kros’ diffusion line, Michael, the Duchess cinched her floral number with a thin black belt at the waist and teamed the ensemble with a classic black heels, exuding an air of summer style without compromise of her usual sophistication.

While the hairstyle is indeed new, the Duchess’s dress’s might look familiar to loyal followers of the royal family, who will note that Middleton – whose style has becomes synonymous with sustainability and recycling, often re-wearing dresses over and over again to attend different events – has worn this dress before.

Last year, back in May 2018 to be exact, the Duchess debuted this very same dress at Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s wedding rehearsal, which could mean that Middleton identifies the dress with special, specifically familial, occasions, donning it to celebrate those close to her heart. ideused0
