ROYALS | Princess Beatrice Chose Australian Label Zimmermann For Her Engagement Portraits

Buckingham Palace has announced the engagement of Princess Beatrice to her property tycoon partner, Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi,  and what’s even more exciting than the prospect of another royal wedding is that Princess Beatrice has given a not to an Australian designer!

Shortly after the official announcement, Princess Beatrice’s sister, Princess Eugenie, took to Instagram to share the engagement portraits which she’s personally shot, showing a very happy Princess Beatrice in a floral dress.

If you were one of the many fashion fans wondering the designer behind the floral number was, then you’re in luck, as the is my favorite. It’s been revealed that Princess Beatrice chose an approximately $1000 dress form Australian label, Zimmermann, for the loved-up occasion.

In a statement to Vogue Australia, Nicky Zimmermann, creative director of Zimmermann, said: “Princess Beatrice looks really lovely. Congratulations to her and Mr. Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi on the announcement of their engagement. We’re so thrilled she chose one of our dresses to wear on this special occasion”.

The outfit in question is the brand’s Allia floral print dress from its spring/summer 2019 collection, which is still available to shop online – however, we’re guessing stock won’t last long, so if you have your eye on the style, we’d advise you add to cart, stat.

The shin-skimming, long sleeved dress, which gathers just above the wrist, features a romantic green and pink floral print and an A-line skirt. Both the high neckline and the shoulder details serve to elevate the style, making it worthy of royalty.

The royal, 31, also opted to wear Zimmermann for her official black and white engagement portraits, capturated by Misan Harriman at Royal Lodge in Windsor Great Park.

The second dress, which is reported to be the brand’s Espionage Silk Wrap Midi, is available for $900 in red, green, and bronze.
