CORONAVIRUS PANDEMIC | Saudi Arabia Has Launched An App To Support Individuals Who Have Been Exposed To COVID-19

The new app will allow users to monitor their health and seek advice from medical professionals

A mobile application that will help monitor the condition of any individuals who may have contracted COVID-19 has been released in Saudi Arabia by The Saudi Ministry of Health.

According to Arabian Business, the app is called ‘Tatamman’ – which translated to ‘rest assured’ – and gives individuals in quarantine the latest advice and information on the virus, as well as their own health status.

A Ministry of Health spokesperson, Dr. Mohammed Al- Abd Al-Aly, said ‘(the app) is for those who have symptoms, or recently returned to Saudi Arabia, those who have been in direct contact with a positive case, as well as those currently under home quarantine as instructed by the ministry’.

Tatamman is available in both Arabic and English and will be supervised by the National Health Emergency Operations Center, in partnership with the Ministry of Health.

Users will be able to assess their health conditions on a daily basis, receive advice, can directly contact medical staff and stay up-to-date with ministry services during their quarantine period.
