ROYALS | Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s Netflix Documentary To Focus On Their Post-Royal Life

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s Netflix documentary will reportedly focus on the pair’s first – year since leaving their senior royal duties and setting up their new home in the U.S..

Earlier this year, the couple signed a multi-year mega deal with streaming service Netflix, as part of their new life since stepping down as senior members of the British royal family in March. Although both Markle and Prince Harry inside at the time they would not be ‘taking part in any reality shows’, The Mail on Sunday has reported the couple will feature in a documentary detailing why they chose to step down as royals. According to reports, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex will also share some personal videos, from when they left their Frogmore Cottage home in the U.K.

However, even with the personal footage, the documentary is sure to primarily focus on the couple’s charity work perhaps with a mention of their recently launched non – profit organization Archewell, named after their son Archie Harrison Mountbatten – Windsor.

The Sussexes are expected to develop several documentary series, features films, scripted shows, and children’s content, as part of their multi – year collaboration with Netflix. The exclusive shows will be available to subscribers of the streaming giant, and have been tipped to be the platform’s ‘most viewed content’.

Since leaving their roles as senior royals, Markle and Prince Harry relocated to Motecito, California along with their son and have dedicated much of their time to philanthropic causes. They have been a constant ally for those struggling through the coronavirus pandemic, helping provide supplies to those in need, as well as spotlighting issues like mental health, and women’s rights to education in a discussion with Malala Yousafzai. The pair have also been strong advocates for the Black Lives Matter movement, with Prince Harry recently opening up about how his privilege previously meant he was unaware of racial bias.
